Moyes Out
Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore.
I'm fed up, we can do much better

Might as well rename this thread " Lopetegui out "

You'll all be calling for his head by December and I'll be among you this time.

Dreadful choice of manager.

Re: Moyes Out
I half expected Moyes to go last summer, leaving with something of a bang as opposed to hanging on for another season, of woeful defending, and departing with a whimper.

The really disappointing thing is that seeing the way that Villa and Spurs are falling over the line we might, under a different manager, have been challenging for a CL qualifying league position.

The interviews from yesterday were about as bad as they get. Most of us called it but it will now be an ugly exit. Sullivan couldn’t give a shit about how badly this goes and once again the potential we have is eroded in the blink of an eye.
Moyes is clearly deflecting any blame, as he always does. As for hooking Alvarez at HT then mentioning Rice exit as the reason for us being conceding so many goals tells you all about the man. Another player thrown under the Moyes bus.

Johnson pretty much how I see it

Should have been sacked in January '22 when he derailed our season by claiming we didn't need anyone as nobody good enough to fill the tired out of form Antonio' s boots. Yes we won a cup, but we should have been back in the Europa. We lost 20 league games last season. This season we were winning games early on that our performances didn't deserve, it was obviously unsustainable.. Lots said it, but all we got back was "but we're 6th,7th.. QF.." etc. We've just wasted another season as the incompetence of Sullivan allowed the out of his depth Moyes to remain in position and allow us to become the whipping boys of the league, but it's OK because we had a, few wins against 'big' teams earlier in the season.. F off Moyes and Sullivan.

Johnson - good summary.

You forgot the bit about despite having one of the smallest and oldest squads, refusing to give academy players a decent chance. This is in spite of the fact they won the league and cup double, smashing Arsenal in their own backyard in the process.

Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton, Wolves, Palace, the yids

All good examples of sacking/having to replace the incumbent manager, choosing a new one and getting what they wish for.

Does anyone like watching West Ham packing the 6 yard box and only having the ball for less than half the game?

Re: Moyes Out
Thought it was a step backwards when we got him back but he done a job.

Was good during Covid but I became Moyes Out again the season we were 5th and in the latter stages of the Europa and the cunt refused to sign anyone including Julian Alvarez now of City in January. All under the sheer bullshit statement that there was no one in world football better than he had.

At that point what we had was Antonio who hadn’t scored in 10 and was looking unfit and past it. And the totem pole Czech goth Soucek

We tanked in the league and the cup going out to weakest team we’d faced in the knock outs mainly due to having no steam left.

We were then relegation fodder for a lot of the next season, carrying out poor PL form. Unconvincing ECL wins saved the cunt and we won in Prague.

I will thank him for that. Unbelievable memories.

This season we won some 1 in a 100 or ever games for Moyes and in fairness people like JWP, Kudus and Paq looked unplayable at times before Xmas. He soon Moyse’d all that out of them and down the league we went after Xmas.

Could and should have beat Leverkusen once but backed off in the first leg and run out of steam and ideas in the second.

Again against a backdrop of a refusal to buy in Jan where we needed it,. What we got was a weakening of the subs bench by letting two players he’d destroyed anyway go, then signing a DM on loan who he managed to make look shit within 3 games.

Small squad Dave is a low painful death to this club, get him out and give TS the opportunity to build something as it looks like that’s what he is trying to do.

Moyes is too much of a dinosaur these days.

Mad Dog - Most fans on West Ham Forums, as well as widespread opinion in the Media were saying Phillips was a great move for us and him.

Re: Moyes Out
I can't think of a single person bar the idiot moyes that thought phillips was a good idea.
It was obvious that he was rhe wrong player at rhe wrong time.
A position we didn't need strengthening compared to other positionss were crying out for, unfit, hasn't played in, what, 2 years? Overpriced, unmotivated and overrated.

I don't think anyone forsaw exactly HOW bad the cunt was, but nobody thought it was a good idea.

Re: Moyes Out
Fair play to also not believing the hype. Although I would say it weren't so much about being unprepared and the like, he was never, ever the Player people built him up to be and Guardiola found out the hard way in the end falling for a lot of that hype. He still belongs with Leeds and he'd shine there but that's about as far as his so called talents deserves.

One of the most overrated players in Premier League history and the one saving grace is at least Moyes is soon leaving and there's now no hope of making it a permanent deal. It was never going to work out and an expensive loan signing that's been pissed up against the wall. Worst part for me is seeing genuine nice half decent Footballers Fornals and Benrahma leave as he joined us. I'm still fucking livid at the business now. I'd keep them 2 over him in a heartbeat. Those two wouldn't have dared thought about giving West Ham fans the finger either over some just criticism too. What a fucking balls up West Ham.

I too didn't want him and thought he would be terrible.
Some were excited by his presentation.
Moyes didn't do his DD.
He was unfit and underprepaired.
Another calamity.

Re: Moyes Out
Nutsin, I think half the issue is Moyes in an interview not taking any responsibility and making quite ludicrous comments at times. Like today saying his sides don't get beaten like that, well they do you only have to look at some of the scores this season. 70 goals conceded, the worst since the Grant season, but the media portray him as a solid defensive manager! Some of his counter attacking stuff early days was exceptional at times but i've found the recruitment for that style quite strange. Bowen, Kudus perfect but Ings. Haller, Scamacca for a deep counter style are way off the mark, plus you need legs to play that way and that's something a lot of the players haven't got anymore. Old squad with that philosophy don't go well together. I won't blame Moyes entirely for recruitment as who knows who does the buying, but surely as a manager you have some say or what is the point?

Regardless of the shit football we have had to put up with for a very long time, this cunt should have gone just based on results since Christmas. Fucker has been stealing a living and any good work he has done will now be forgotten very quickly.

The Board & The Manager to blame for a disastrous last half a season. Cunts !!

As I’ve said we can all slag off the Phillips signing in hindsight but nobody on here expected him to be as shit as he turned out.

Hello!! Over here! I was banging on about avoiding Phillips like the plague on here before we actually signed him. Fuck all hindsight on my part and remember being belittled and singled out back then for having such a negative attitude towards such a City Superstar. But you can carry on "ignoring facts".

Looks like the Buck is stopping with the manager.

Billy well done you figured it out.

As I’ve said we can all slag off the Phillips signing in hindsight but nobody on here expected him to be as shit as he turned out. Pep has done a number on the poor kid, that’s for sure. He was a good player before Pep ruined him.

As for Bennie, if memory serves Bennie was getting playing time, Fornals not so much, Not sure who’s decision it was to sell before replacements came in but then again nobody on here knows either.

Shame how the season fell apart, because up until January we were flying high.

That makes two of us, Billy. Fuck knows what point he was trying to make if we both see it that way.

Moyes is the Scouse of West Ham - Nothing is EVER his fault.
